Biography
Born in 1997 in Innsbruck, Austria, Raphael Haaser was born into a family of ski lovers – he is actually the younger brother of Ricarda, who also competes in the World Cup. He’s a versatile skier, competing in Downhill, Super-G, Giant Slalom and Combined, and has been active in the World Cup since 2020, when he took part in the Super-G in Hinterstoder, Austria. In Bormio in December 2021 he obtained his first podium in the same discipline, while in his first appearance at the World Championships, in Courchevel/Méribel in 2023, he won bronze in the Combined. At the next World Championships, Saalbach-Hinterglemm 2025, he won the gold medal in the Giant Slalom and the silver in the Super Giant Slalom. He has made it to the World Cup podium four times so far, always in second place and always in the Super Giant.
