Biography

Known by everyone as Diggia, he is an exception to the rule demanding that riders come from the Romagna region. Fabio was born in Rome on October 10, 1998, and like many of his peers he has been riding a motorcycle since he was a child – in 2009 he was already European minibike champion. He competed for a few seasons in the Italian and continental series and in the Rookies Cup with good results, then in 2016 he made his full-time debut in the World Championship. He soon conquered podiums and victories – second place in Moto3 in 2018, seventh place in Moto2 in 2021, and in 2022 he moved to MotoGP™. In 2023 he made his mark: An uphill start to the season blossomed, at the end of the championship, into his first success and more splendid podiums. In 2024, he competed in the ranks of the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Team and became, for the first time, a Dainese rider. He loves his hometown, pizza and, in the past, he practiced various sports such as kayaking, climbing, judo and swimming.
