EXPERIENCE DETAILS
8 days. 1,800 km. A journey along some of Italy’s most beautiful roads, following the route of the 19th-century Grand Tour, to discover the country’s history and culture. Riding the Ducati Multistrada V2 S, V4 S and V4 Rally MY 2026, the adventure kicks off from the Marco Simoncelli World Circuit in Misano, during the centenary World Ducati Week.
First stop Venice, then Cortina d’Ampezzo: the Dolomites pave the way for some of the most iconic Alpine passes in the world, from Pordoi to Stelvio, up to 2,757 meters. The descent leads towards the great lakes of the North, Como and Garda, with stops between Verona and Mantua, before reaching the grand finale: the legendary Ducati Museum in Borgo Panigale.
A journey that celebrates the passion for motorcycle riding, Italian excellence, and the pleasure of experiencing the road on two wheels.
An eight-day, 1,800-kilometer journey along Northern Italy’s most spectacular roads: from the Dolomite passes to the scenic descents toward lake Como and lake Garda, winding through breathtaking landscapes and unforgettable vistas.
An epic journey that retraces some of the stages of the 19th-century Grand Tour, the long journey undertaken by young European aristocrats to hone their knowledge and enrich their spirit. In collaboration with Dainese, Ducati has reinterpreted this legend with a contemporary twist: astride the Ducati Multistrada V2 S, V4 S, and V4 Rally MY 2026, the ideal companions for those who enjoy the freedom, excitement, and authenticity of the road.
The departure from the Marco Simoncelli World Circuit in Misano, during Ducati’s centennial WDW, marks the beginning of an adventure steeped in the spirit of the road, art, and culture.
The first curves take us through hills and plains, past authentic panoramas that tell the story of Italy at its most genuine, until we glimpse the reflection of the waters of the Venice lagoon in the distance.
The city welcomes travelers as only it can: suspended between dream and reality, between sea and sky.
A guided tour leads us through streets, over bridges, and past ancient palaces —masterpieces of Gothic, Renaissance, and Baroque architecture — as we absorb the city's magic and allow ourselves to be captivated by its golden light at sunset. Then, we continue toward the Dolomites, where the journey becomes more thrilling than ever. The Giau Pass (2,236 m) offers breathtaking views, and the panoramas of Cortina d'Ampezzo, the Pearl of the Dolomites, are simply stunning.
Here, the motorcycle becomes an extension of the body: every hairpin bend is an invitation to let go, every straight a breath of fresh air between the curves. The route continues between the Falzarego Pass (2,109 m) and Valparola (2,192 m), where the air is crisp and the mountains are within touching distance.
Each subsequent pass is a work of art, just waiting to be traversed: the Gardena Pass (2,121 m) and the Sella Group (2,244 m) offer ever-new perspectives, while the climb to Pordoi (2,239 m) is a procession of perfect curves and unforgettable panoramas. Lake Fedaia (2,057 m), nestled at the foot of the Marmolada, transforms the ride into absolute harmony: the bike, the mountains and the silence combine to create a unique feeling of freedom.
From the summit, we begin our descent towards Lake Carezza and the Adige Valley, tackling three more spectacular passes before arriving in Merano, where the pleasure of riding merges with the beauty of the landscape.
Then comes the day of the giants: Stelvio (2,758 m) and Gavia (2,621 m). Legendary bends, dizzying gradients, and views that stretch to the horizon — two names that make every motorcycle rider’s heart beat faster. From the Gavia Pass, between two Alpine lakes and the silence of high altitude, the descent toward Lake Como begins, where the air becomes sweeter, the forests thicker, and the horizon opens out onto the intense blue of one of Italy’s most iconic lakes. Water takes center stage once again with the allure of Lake Iseo and Lake Idro, before giving way to the Mediterranean light of Lake Garda, amid olive groves and golden vistas that end the day in beauty.
A stop in Verona, the city of lovers and 19th-century poets, famous for its frescoed palaces and the majesty of its Arena, bears testament to centuries of music and passion. The itinerary continues toward Mantua, elegant and quiet, where art and history are reflected in the waters of its lakes. We then end our voyage in Bologna, with an exclusive dinner at the legendary Ducati Museum in Borgo Panigale - the culmination of a journey that celebrates the passion for riding, Italian excellence, and the authentic pleasure of experiencing the road on two wheels.
A journey that combines history and passion, culture and freedom, where every curve reveals a fragment of Italian beauty and every kilometer becomes part of a modern legend: Expedition Master Italy.
