Biography

Born in Vasto on August 9, 1989, since 2004 he has participated in the CIV and CEV, the Spanish speed championship, and in 2005 he made his full-time debut in the 125 class of the World Championship. After an apprenticeship of a few seasons, the first wins came in 2008. In Moto2 he found his place and established himself as a top rider through many victories and three third places in the championship. Since 2013 he has been a professional rider in MotoGP™, the most demanding class; here, too, some time was needed to mature before being able to compete for podium places and wins from 2015. In 2024 his career started from scratch in the Superbike World Championship, where he stood out immediately and vied for the top places. His nickname "The Maniac" comes from his obsession with being precise.
