Biography

Raúl Fernández, born in Madrid on October 23, 2000, has been a motorcycle rider from his youth. He has been racing in the Spanish national championships since 2012 and in 2015 he moved up to the next level with the Red Bull Rookies Cup. The following year he made his world championship debut with a wildcard in Valencia and immediately entered the points zone. A full-time commitment to the World Championship didn’t come until 2019, when Raúl raced in Moto3 with KTM and already achieved a few top-10 finishes. In 2020 he won two races and came fourth in the championship, while in 2021, his first year in Moto2, he won no fewer than eight races and finished second at the end of the season by a handful of points. He has been racing in MotoGP™ since 2022. If he wasn’t a rider, he would have liked to become an astronaut; in his free time he trains through cycling, motocross and swimming.
