2. What size should I select if I want to wear the Smart Jacket under my jacket?
The Smart Jacket is made of a special stretch fabric and comes with a convenient waist adjustment system so you can wear it over or under whatever garment or motorbike jacket you choose to meet your specific needs and personal preferences.
WARNING: Ensure that your jacket has at least 2 extra inches in circumference before wearing your Smart Jacket under it. This extra space is necessary so that there is no constriction should the airbag system activate.

3. Can I use the Smart Jacket on the track too?
The Smart Jacket is designed to protect you in dangerous road situations like highside, lowside or a rear-end collision when stationary. The dangerous dynamics professional riders might experience on track are different from those that statistically occur on the open road. If you are looking for an airbag system to use during track riding, we suggest the D-air® Racing range of garments that come with an integrated airbag.
4. Do I need to wear a back protector when I use the Smart Jacket?
Smart Jacket is the maximum freedom of protection. Its D-air® airbag system offers the same amount of back protection as seven back protectors and covers a wider surface than a back protector, without the bulk or stiffness of a hardshell protector. However, for those who prefer to wear an active protector like a back protector, there are no contradictions to wearing it together with the Smart Jacket.
5. Will the Smart Jacket activate if someone hits me from behind?
Yes. The Smart Jacket D-air® system recognizes when there is a stationary rear-end collision, which typically happens at a stop sign or traffic light, and immediately activates the airbag to protect the rider. WARNING: In the case of a rear-end collision, the airbag system can only detect danger and activate if the motorbike is switched on and it senses the vibration of the engine. With an electric motorbike, the Smart Jacket D-air® system is armed only when the motorbike is going at least 6 mph.
WARNING: Before purchasing and using D-air®, please carefully read the instructions and warnings in the User Manual.
