Smart Air is the Dainese airbag system designed to deliver advanced protection in every riding scenario. Thanks to an electronic control unit with sensors, gyroscopes, and accelerometers, it constantly analyzes the rider’s movements and recognizes dangerous situations, activating in just milliseconds without the need for cables or any connection to the motorcycle.

The system integrates D-air® airbags on the chest and back, certified Level 2, and supports up to three airbag deployments. After each deployment, the gas generator can be easily replaced independently, allowing for a simple, fast, and self-managed reset.

Thanks to its innovative patented microfilament structure, D-air® is the only airbag that becomes a true shield to protect the rider’s torso. The protection area covers the chest and back, maintaining a uniform thickness once inflated and ensuring a stable, controlled shape across the entire surface.

Unlike a standard balloon, which deforms and expands into other areas when compressed, the D-air® airbag remains structured and non-deformable. An advanced technology for essential, discreet, always-ready protection: on the road, in the city, and wherever the pavement ends.

Smart Air introduces dedicated riding modes to adapt precisely to different riding scenarios. ROAD mode is designed for road use, from daily commuting to longer journeys. OFFROAD mode extends the system’s versatility, supporting adventure scenarios and technical off-road routes, even in the presence of strong vibrations, natural obstacles, and uneven terrain.

With EV Mode, Smart Air remains armed at all times, even on electric motorcycles and scooters or on vehicles with reduced vibrations, further expanding its range of use.
