Biography

You might say that Tony, born on August 3, 2000 in Garbagnate Milanese, was destined to be a professional rider. Having started to ride at the age of 4, he immediately became one of the leaders in the youth categories. At 9 years old he was already Italian champion and 3rd in the European championship. At 12 he was European MiniGP 50 champion and the following year he won the Italian Pre GP 125 title, racing as an exception to the age rules, which should admit older riders. The world championship debut in 2017 was almost a formality, with the SIC58 Squadra Corse team directed by Paolo Simoncelli. The first major results came in 2019 – 2 wins, 5 more podiums and 4th place overall; in 2020 he came second and in ’21 he moved to Moto2, where since 2022 he has had a starring role with further wins and podiums. Racing motorbikes professionally has always been his dream, ever since he rode his first bicycle at the age of 1 – Tony calls motorbikes “my salvation.”
