Domeair™ insulation material
The innovative Domeair™ insulation material was developed specifically for research missions in Antarctica, and successfully combines excellent thermal insulation and breathability, preventing stagnation of the moisture generated by the body during activity. Domeair™ is composed of a structure which can retain a large volume of air, one of nature’s greatest insulators when static, achieving performance levels comparable to goose feather insulation without using materials of animal origin.
The hydrophobic synthetic fibers are quick drying and maintain their insulating properties even in the presence of moisture. The special structure of this material, based on alternating domes and solid areas, traps air in a controlled manner, optimizing breathability, compressibility and lightness whilst minimizing the amount of material used. The result is a waterproof and breathable ski jacket that is perfect for even the coldest and most variable conditions.
Axial stretch panels
The Axial material inserts are positioned at the shoulder and elbow joints.
