A FANTASTIC VALENTINO ROSSI COMEBACK AT THE ASSEN GP

“The Doctor” is back. In a thrilling race at the Assen GP, Valentino Rossi seized again the first step of the podium after one year of absence, showing the whole world that he is still there battling for his 10th world title.

Under the unstable Dutch weather, Rossi gained the first position in the race from Danilo Petrucci at the third to last lap, preceding him of only 63 milliseconds.

With this victory, his 10th ever at Assen, Rossi holds now the 2nd position in the standings, only 7 points behind Andrea Dovizioso in one of the most unpredictable championships to be seen recently.

After this exciting comeback, the Moto2 race saw the solid confirmation of Dainese Crew rider Franco Morbidelli as the leader of the middle class. The Italian talent notched up his 5th victory of the year, after a fierce battle with Pasini, Luthi and Nakagami that eventually consolidated his leadership in the standings.

Congratulations again to Valentino Rossi and Franco Morbidelli – stay tuned for all the updates!
