“IF YOU THINK YOU WILL ACHIEVE ANYTHING IN LIFE WITHOUT BLOOD, SWEAT AND TEARS, THEN YOU ARE WRONG.”
“My name’s Matthias Mayer, I grew up in a small village in the eastern part of Austria.
When I was a child I lived my days smoothly but I dreamt of following in my fathers foot steps of becoming a world class ski racer.
The idea of racing against the clock on a steep, treacherous, icy pitch was thrilling.
I envisioned myself being the best. No matter the conditions, whether it was snowing, sunny, cold, windy, or warm and wet I was on the mountain, ski boots on my feet, adrenaline pumping through my veins, and anxious to get to the bottom of the hill as fast as I could.
I have been scared, I have feared not being good enough and I have at time doubted my success.
If you think you will achieve anything in life without blood, sweat and tears, then you are wrong. Yes, you need to enjoy what you do, but in order to achieve real success, you need to be OK with pain.
You can lose, you can crash, but what matters is how fast you can react and get back up.
You can win, but after you do you need to set your eyes on the next challenge and prepare for a new goal.
You can fight, you must fight.
