The AX-8 Dual EVO is an extremely versatile helmet, destined for on and off-road use. The design and the line inevitable reflect the AX-8 EVO from which it derives, but thanks to additional technical characteristics, such as the visor and the specific visor mechanism, the opening air vent in the chin guard and an extra vent that can be opened on the top, guarantee all the performance and comfort of a road helmet.

This is my first AGV helmet; I have another enduro helmet and a standard full-face. The helmet fits perfectly (got an L which I thought was a bit loose at the beginning but actually fits my head shape perfectly - after breaking in it sits snug -, and I always wear a windproof balaclava. Since I live in cold Norway wind protection is a priority for me, followed by visibility, soundproofing and material quality.
Wind protection is excellent, I don't feel draft in the helmet as in the other 2, ventilation is great and the chin curtain is also great in keeping my face warm. Visibility is great because of the large visor, though I wish it came with a tinted version.
The soundproofing though is a really weak spot (didn't have high expectations since enduro helmets are quite noisy) but this one has a permanent high noise when I ride at more than 30kph which I suspect is because of the shape and gaps between the lining parts, but the really disturbing noise is a permanent whistling that becomes louder as speed increases and head position changes; I've tried closing all the vents and changing my head position but the whistling is still present; I have to wear earplugs to keep the noise stress down. For a helmet that costs this much I had better expectations, and the reasons I got this brand are the internal shape and visor size.
The material quality is very good for the lining, visor and shell; the problem is that my face shield (peak, whatever it's called) broke first time I put the helmet on it.
