This weekend saw a Men's Giant Slalom and a Men's slalom take place in Adelboden, in Switzerland. Manfred Moelgg skied brilliantly and made a wonderful comeback in the Giant Slalom on Saturday 12 January by coming home fourth after being in twelfth place. In Sunday's slalom, the skier from San Vigilio di Marebbe improved yet again and finished in third place on the podium. Thanks to the consistency of his results to date, Manfred currently lies in fifth place in the overall standings in the World Cup Series, in third place in the standings in the Giant and in fifth place in the standings in Slalom. Also worth mentioning are Florian Eisath's 18th place in Giant and Roberto Nani's 15th place in Slalom.

The Women's races took place at Saint Anton in Austria. Maria Hoefl-Riesch couldn't do any better than 19th place in the Downhill (Saturday 12/01), but performed better the next day in the Super Giant and came home in fifth place. The German Champion keeps her second place in the overall World Cup standings.
