DAINESE & AGV IN POLE POSITION OF WORLD RACING

ITALIAN LEGENDARY PROTECTION

The 2012 season is about to start. Dainese & AGV have decided to invest in a group of talented riders and confirm their participation in the racing world at international level.

Dainese will be dressing the Ducati Corse riders in the MotoGP class: Valentino Rossi, a long-time Dainese spokesman and AGV ambassador and, for the second year running, the US rider and 2006 world champion, Nicky Hayden. Mattia Pasini and Danilo Petrucci, both Italian MotoGP riders, this year continue their cooperation with the Dainese & AGV team. Stefan Bradl, who has moved up from Moto2 to MotoGP, is also riding for the red devil.

In the Moto2 class, Dainese & AGV sponsor four riders: Simone Corsi and Pol Espargarò, already members of the team, and Andrea Iannone and Gino Rea, new entries this year. All four are equipped with the D-air® Racing system. Once again this year, AGV will be sponsoring the Como rider, Claudio Corti.

In the Moto3 class, Dainese & AGV sponsor: Luis Salom, equipped with the D-air® Racing system, Romano Fenati, Alessandro Tonucci, Luigi Morciano and the entire Italia FMI Team, and Niccolò Antonelli of the Gresini Team. Always in the Moto3 class, an agreement has been signed with the Mahindra Racing Team to sponsor the riders Danny Webb and Marcel Schroetter (Dainese & AGV) and all the staff of the Indian team.

In the WSBK class, Dainese continues to sponsor 2010 world champion, Max Biaggi, together with riders Leon Haslam, Mark Aitchinson (Dainese & AGV) and Tom Sykes. The other riders competing under the Dainese flag will be Niccolò Canepa (Dainese & AGV) and Federico Sandi.

Cooperation between Dainese & AGV also continues for 2012 with the British rider Guy Martin, competing on the roads of the Tourist Trophy and in the British Superstock championship. Conor Cummins, a native of the isle of Man and also competing in the Tourist Trophy, is dressed and protected by Dainese & AGV. In 2012, Dainese will also continue its collaboration with the Tourist Trophy, the historical race run on the isle of Man, as Official Safety Partner.

In the Supermotard, Dainese & AGV are sponsoring Davide Gozzini, who will be competing in the 2012 world championship in the saddle of an Aprilia of the Siena team PMR.

In the Superstock 1000 FIM Cup, the Dainese & AGV rider is Lorenzo Savadori, Team Italia, while in the European Superstock 600 championship, its riders are Luca Vitali and Riccardo Russo, always Team Italia. Lorenzo Savadori and Luca Vitali will be equipped with the D-air® Racing system.

In the British Superbike championship, Dainese & Agv will be Official Safety Partner and will sponsor Alastair Seeley, one of the riders to beat on the British motorbike scene.

For the AMA/ American Superbike, Dainese is on track with 4 riders: Ben Bostrom, one of the most successful riders in the history of US motorcycling and a big favourite for the 2012 title, Blake Young, pupil of Kevin Schwantz and the first rider in the USA to wear the D-air® Racing system, since the last race of 2011, Steve Rapp, US rider who also wears an AGV helmet, and Josh Herrin, former winner of Daytona 200 and this year promoted to Superbike. For the AMA Supersport, a class dedicated to the young talents of under-21 US motorcycling, Dainese & AGV are sponsoring James Rispoli from California and incumbent AMA Supersport champion of the “East Division” and “National” ratings, while Tomas Puerta is AGV rider.

AGV, together with Dainese, is investing to provide head – foot protection to selected riders. Under the ILP - Italian Legendary Protection – flag, they have teamed up to provide the very best in terms of protection. The two brands also sponsor a group of riders who compete in off-road championships in Europe and the USA. David Philippaerts, Italian rider and 2008 MX1 champion, and Paulin Gautier are both AGV brand ambassadors in the top motocross category.

Some of Dainese’s leading riders will continue to help develop and test D-air® Racingthe revolutionary smart protective system. Priceless feedback from sponsored riders is vital for the ongoing development of the D-air® Racing system.
