“Motorcycle Safety: Accidents and damage prevention”
Dainese and the Trauma Team of Niguarda Ca’ Granda Hospital present data from the largest Italian survey of road accidents.

3rd December 2013 –11.30am
Conference Hall 1, first floor - Niguarda Ca’ Granda Hospital

Dainese, a leading world producer of protective clothing for motorcyclists, and the medical Trauma Team of Niguarda Ca’ Granda Hospital in Milan, headed by Prof. Osvaldo Chiara, will meet on Tuesday 3rd December 2013 at 11.30am at Niguarda Ca’ Granda Hospital to present data from the largest Italian survey of motorcyclist accidents. Since 2011, it has been the most valuable database for D-tec research and for the development of the D-Air protection technology platform.

The meeting arises from valuable ongoing cooperation over the last 2 years between the Vicenza-based company and Osvaldo Chiara, who – conducting an analysis of road accidents in the last few years - has validated D-Air® Street from a medical standpoint.

Chiara’s research concerning over 900 motorcyclists treated by the Trauma Team has revealed that the most frequent injuries are to the chest and organs in the upper body, such as the spleen, liver and kidneys. Thanks to this continuously updated data, D-Air® Street is considered crucial to reducing damage caused by accidents, and increasingly safeguards the life of motorcyclists.

The speakers at the conference will include Vittorio Cafaggi, Dainese Strategic Development Manager, Osvaldo Chiara, Giacomo Agostini, 15 times world champion and Marcello Bencini, Dainese Design Manager - Safety Equipment. The conference will be chaired by the expert journalist Nico Cereghini, former 500cc class world championship rider and current commentator and motorcycle tester.

At 9.30am, before the conference, Dainese experts, the Trauma Team and Giacomo Agostini will meet students at the Liceo Russell (high school) in Milan, for a multimedia meeting on road safety.
