On February 9, 2009, in Val d'Isere (France), Aksel Svindal won the gold medal in super-combined World Ski Championship competition. In perhaps one of the least prestigious disciplines, the Norwegian champ added another pearl to his string of records, proving himself once again to be the strongest and most versatile skier of all on the international circuit. This gold is the second medal of this edition of the competition after the bronze medal he won in super Giant competition . Sponsored by Dainese for all his protectors, goggles, and helmet, Svindal confirms that he has returned to his top form after last season’s serious injury.
