OUR OWN DIRTY (ALMOST) DOZEN

The two Dainese champs in the biggest Motorcycle GP engine class obviously need no introduction: Valentino Rossi is expected to repeat last year's spectacular performance after switching to Yamaha, while Max Biaggi is more psyched than ever after finally getting an official Honda bike. These two will certainly be the ones to watch in a duel that could go down to the season's final lap.
In the 250 cc Class, Dainese will be sponsoring Daniel Pedrosa (who dominated last year's pack astride a Honda), Simone Corsi for Aprilia, and Jorge “por fuera” Lorenzo riding a Honda.
The Dainese 125 Team is captained by veteran Pablo Nieto flanked by fire-brand young hopefuls Nico Terol, Thomas Luthi, Federico Sandi and Marco Simoncelli, not to mention Manuel Poggiali, who steps down to a lower class with Gilera and is already chafing at the bit.
The start of the new season is just a few weeks away. Our centaurs will begin revving up their engines from March 15 to 27 in Catalunya and Jerez, where the official time trials will be held and we'll all be able to see who's really set on business this time 'round.
We'll all be in Jerez de la Frontiera on April 8 for the first Gran Prix race of the year. The D-Mobile will also be on hand to both help the Dainese racers fresh from the paddock and glean precious tips and suggestions for the improvement of the motorcycles we mortals ride.
Stay tuned for the latest news and gossip on our two-wheeled acrobats to come!
