Et voilà, the Dainese Team speaks French perfectly, especially after such a memorable weekend at Le Mans where, similarly to Jerez, three of its riders achieved pole positions on Saturday and won the races on Sunday in all three Motorcycle Championship classes.
While Valentino Rossi and Daniel Pedrosa are habituè to these exploits (all these French words are not here by accident…), it was a new experience for the young Swiss rider, Thomas Lüthi.
Let's begin with the 125 cc win by the standard-bearer of the Elit Racing team who totally dominated the three-day French event astride his white, green and light-blue Honda. On Sunday, he performed a Pedrosa-style breakout that left all his adversaries far behind and picked up 20 points that now put him into overall second place behind Kallio. Excellent!
In the 250 cc race, Daniel Pedrosa studied his opponents for quite some time before launching a decisive attack on Randy De Puniet just a few curves away from the finish with all the cynicism and skill of a great champion. He can now look down on everyone from his first place in the overall listing. Superb!
Adjectives are wasted on Valentino Rossi: after dominating in the trials, during the race he finally found a Yamaha capable of enhancing his infinite class. Result? A record-breaking last lap rocketing ahead of Sete Gibernau to achieve his third victory in four races, plus a second place. Chapeau!

And the others? Simoncelli did well in the 125 cc with a fine recovery that won second place though he was penalised by overtaking during a yellow flag period. In the 250 cc, Jorge Lorenzo fought back well and always managed to stay near the front while Simone Corsi won a good 11th place with an injured finger.
In the 500 cc class, Max Biaggi fought like a lion, winning an unexpected fifth place for himself after a fearsome fall during the warm-up.
