Stefan Bradl

Son of a champion

Stefan is the son of Helmut Bradl, one of Germany's most famous riders in the 80s and 90s who also rode for Dainese, and therefore has inherited the genes of a champion. He rode his first motorbike, a Honda QR50, at just four years of age. With the support of his father, he gained experience in different events until making his debut in the 125 class in 2006. The class in which he showed his potential to the fullest was Moto2. In the 2011 season, he had 5 pole-positions, 11 podium places and 4 wins to become both the first German World Champion since Dirk Raudies and the youngest ever. At the end of the season, he was given the opportunity of testing the LCR Honda RC212V. Lucio Cecchinello (team manager) was so impressed by his performance that he offered him a contract to ride in MotoGP. He is still with them and for 2014, is ready to fight for the podium in every race.
