Technological avantgarde, excellent protection and and ultimate comfort merge in this safety jacket, result of the whole Dainese experience in term of safety and ergonomics: this means protectors with a shape studied to give a excellent fit and to follow the movements of the rider body, and to give at the same time an extreme protection. The jacket is provided by a Wave Air back protector, certified to EN 1621.2 lev.2 standard, with an inner core composed by aluminium honeycomb and Crash Absorb, and external articulated, perforated plates with a corrugated shape. The chest is protected by the Thorax protector, in compliance with prestandard EN 1621.3 lev.2, with flexible plates on the ribs. The composite articulated protections of shoulders and elbows are fixed on a elasticated net mesh shirt.

This is an awesome product. I have tried various other jackets, undershirts, roost protectors, even hockey pads in the search for the ultimate protection and the Dainese was exactly what i was looking for. I originally bought the wave pro w/neck brace but felt that the brace was just a tad restrictive for me. Its a great design but it choked my neck a little-but to be fair i was a little overweight at the time and have since dropped 15 "bows" so it would probably work. Either way, I decided to buy my own brace and opt for the Wt-pro and couldn't be happier. Fits great, no discomfort, and doesn't look insanely bulgy under a jersey like I thought it might. The elbow guards fit snugly and the hinges work great and keep everything in place. The chest protector feels as if it would stop a bullet. The back brace is a great design and quite comfortable, and gives great piece of mind with its level 2 coverage. When buying this protector shoulders were my biggest concern and the 3-piece armadillo-style so far has surpassed my already high expectations. I haven't actually crash-tested them yet, but i gave it my ol' ram-the-wall technique and barely felt the force of the blow, which is nicely distributed around the area of impact rather than being localized to one spot. Goofy way to test but i've tried many other setups the same way incomparable results. The only gripes I have about the product are wimpy kidney belt (I know 2 guys disembowled by handlebars-seriously-some kind of puncture protection should be added) and it would be nice to have the option of a solid jacket rather than the mesh so I could wear it without a jersey and look like a beast while not worrying about trashing a $350 jacket, which by the way was money well spent. I am 6'2, 190 lbs, athletic build and the large fits great. Thanks Dainese!
