OLYMPIAN SIZED BRADL AND ROSSI!

8/18/2008

Last weekend in Brno was a lucky one for the Dainese flag bearers in international motorcycle racing competition. Thrills and success abounded in every category as Valentino Rossi and Marco Simoncelli increased their leads in the MotoGP and 250cc standings and Stefan Bradl scored his first career victory in 125cc competition.
In the MotoGP race, Casey Stoner took off like a missile with only Valentino able to stay at a safe distance at his heels. The big surprise came on the seventh lap when the Ozzie Ace bent too close to the ground and the bike slid out from under him and spun him onto the gravel, leaving Rossi on his Yamaha free to lead the others to the finish line and increase his lead over the Ducati king by 50 points and even more over his closest followers Elias and Capirossi.
In 125cc competition, Stefanel Bradl amazed one and all and stepped up to the top of the winners’ stand for the first time in his career, while Marco Simoncelli finished 3rd after Alex Debon and Alvaro Bautista in the 250cc race and kept firm control of his lead in that category. International motorcycle racing returns to Italy in 15 days, in Misano Adriatico, to be precise
