04 June 2011 | News
For the fourth consecutive year, Dainese will be present as Official Safety Partner of the
Isle of Man Tourist Trophy, to be held from May 30 to June 10 2011.
Ever since 2008, Dainese has linked its name with the famous Isle of Man races and
worked in close collaboration with the English rider Guy Martin, to collect data for the
development of protection systems.
This year at the TT, Dainese will be presenting the end product, the result of ten years
of research, produced also thanks to the contribution and data readings obtained from
previous TT races, confirming the unquestionable bond between the racing world and
safety systems developed for all motorcyclists.
At the Dainese D-Truck in the paddock at the Douglas Grandstand, Dainese will be
presenting the D-air racing, which is currently available on the market, and offering a
preview of the road version of this device.
Dainese will also be present at the Isle of Man with a temporary shop where there will be
guest appearances by the TT star Guy Martin, by US rider Nicky Hayden, who to mark
the 100th anniversary of the Mountain Course, on Wednesday 8 June will ride the 37 mile
course in the saddle of a Ducati 1198, and by the legendary Carl Fogarty, who will award
the prize to the winner of the Dainese Superbike race on Saturday 4 June.
Dainese Marketing Manager Fabio Muner stated: "We are very proud to be the Official
Safety Partner of the Isle of Man TT races once again this year. We have always
considered the event an opportunity for research and development of the D-air System
and hope to see Guy Martin win his first TT. We are also happy that Nicky Hayden has
decided to take part in the event, adding his name to the long list of Dainese riders who
have attended at this important trophy."
