DOWNHILL WORLD CUP 2013: GOOD START FOR TEAM LAPIERRE

First round of the Downhill World Cup 2013, first official race with Dainese coming back strongly in the DH circuit as main sponsor of Team Lapierre Gravity Republic, the factory Downhill and Enduro Team of the French bicycles manufacturer.
At the Nevis Range Ski Area all team riders debuted with their new custom Dainese race kits, and the ending result of this first round has gone beyond expectations.
Sam Blankinsop's remarkable fourth place proves that the kiwi rider worked really hard during the winter. Blenki's improvement from last year is outstanding, it's clear that the he will give the team great satisfaction durind the season.
The frenchman Loic Bruni, stepping up in the Elite category as the Junior World Champ, confirmed his potential with a solid seventh place on saturday's qualifying run. Unfortunately a crash in the finals left him out of the running for the top ten. He has to make do with a 26th place, until next time.
In the junior category the rookie Loris Vergier goes back home with a great fourth place in his first very World Cup race. Loris less than a month ago went down on the same track and got seriously injured, with such an impressive quick recovery there's no doubt this young kid is already eager to be on the top spots.
Emmeline Ragot among the girls takes the third place. The "pocket rocket" confirms that she can make the grade.
Team Lapierre leaves Scotland with confidence. The next round in Val Di Sole is just around the corner and the Dainese Team will be there with a strong presence in order to give the best support.
