DAINESE D-AIR TECHNOLOGY PROVIDING SAFETY FOR ALL MOTORCYCLISTS
26 June 2013 | News
D-Air was launched in 2011 and was the first truly effective wireless Airbag for motorcyclists thanks to the fact that, in the event of an accident, it could deploy and provide full protection in just 45 milliseconds.
It is the result of 10 years work and is so reliable that it is the only airbag of its type to have been awarded TÜV SÜD certification.
Two years on and its effectiveness has been more than clearly demonstrated with over 500 deployments following motorcycle accidents around the world. Dainese believe more than ever that the D-Air system marks a turning point of epic proportions in rider safety.
As it is company philosophy to make innovations in safety available to all, Dainese has decided to work in collaboration with interested motorcycle manufacturers to both further develop its system and increase its use.
As Lino Dainese, the founder and President of the company, said “Safety is a common goal shared by all our motorcyclists friends and by operators in the sector. For this reason, we see it as our duty to make our technology and know-how available to all those who can help develop and increase its use”.
