”Technology that protects, from racing to lively living”

The Italian Gran Prix was the setting selected by Dainese for the organisation of a mini-convention on road accidents and safety at the D-Mobile in the Mugello paddock - an issue brought more and more to our attention by the media every day.
Speakers of exceptional renown were Valentino Rossi, the rider who races at over 300 km/h, Dott. Costa, the miracle man, and Pierluigi Collina, the world's most famous football referee, with master of ceremonies Motociclismo magazine editor-in-chief Roberto Ungaro.
These three champions sent their message from Mugello loud and clear: a sport like motorcycle racing usually considered the epitome of risk is instead capable of creating values and transmit these values to both athletes in other sports and even those who lead dynamic daily lives.
The symbol of these values is the spine guard - now in its fourth generation - that has protected the backs of motorcycle pilots from Barry Sheene to Valentino Rossi and now protects champs of other sports like Kostner, Ghedina, Vouilloz.
Thanks to the work that Dainese has performed and continues conducting today with both these athletes and the Mobile Clinic, people who ride their scooters to work can have the same protection the superstars use against spills on roads in and out of town.
Collina represents with unquestioned authority all those who have decided to ride intelligently on two motorised wheels, saving time and polluting less, but always protected by the same technologies used by the world champions.
