Kitzbühel hosted the great classic super giant, downhill and slalom races. On Friday the Canadian Erik Guay took fifth place in the super giant event while his compatriot Jan Hudec came home fifteenth. The Italian Werner Heel was seventeenth and another Canadian, Manuel Osborne Paradis, crossed the line in twenty second place. In the downhill event on Saturday, Erik Guay just missed out on a win and came home second. Manuel Osborne Paradis was tenth, Werner Heel eleventh and Jan Hudec finished in eighteenth place.
In Sunday's slalom, after winning the first heat, Stefano Gross, dropped back to eleventh place following a bad mistake. Neither Manfred Moelgg or Cristian Deville had much luck and did not complete the race.
At Maribor, in Slovenia, Maria Hoefl-Riesch missed the podium in the giant event and ended her Saturday in fourth place. Her Sunday in the slalom event didn't go any better and she failed to finish the race.
