STRIKE!!

Spain smiled on the Dainese Team in Jerez del la Frontera at the International Motorcycle Racing Championship’s first European race of the 2007 Season as spectacular performances by Valentino Rossi and Jorge Lorenzo were crowned with 1st place finishes.
The Doctor returned to the highest step on the winners’ stand (for his 46th MotoGP victory) after the unusually long absence (for him!) of 5 races. Rossi is decidedly satisfied after this triumph in the Spanish Grand PrixM; on the other hand, there was never much of a race at all: the Tavullia Champ left Pedrosa behind right after the initial straightaway and maintained his advantage all the way to the finish line, confirming his current state of grace with a series of fastest laps.
If the MotoGP race was essentially a fabulous solo by Valentino Rossi, the winner in 250cc competition was no less in doubt: the Spaniard riding for Aprilia triumphed at home in Spain leaving Bautista and Dovizioso in his wake in a race run with cold-blooded savvy and intelligence rendered all the more impressive by some breathtaking action in the passing lane. Not a bad start to the season at all for the current World Champion, who begins by winning the first two races in a row.
