A more thrilling finale to this MotoGP would have been hard to imagine: after fighting his way back up the standings all season, Valentino Rossi had finally succeeded in reaching and passing Nicky Hayden to the top of the pack in Estoril. The final race in Valencia will remain in the hearts and minds of one and all, when The Doctor slid to the asphalt after just a few laps and saw his chances for winning his 8th World Championship come crashing to the ground.
The last season of MotoGP 1000 cc competition has now reached its end, and Valentino is already gearing up to amaze the world with the brand new Yamaha M1 800 cc and claim revenge for this past unfortunate season plagued by more than a few unlucky breaks.
On the other hand, the Dainese Team can be more than happy with the performance turned in by Jorge Lorenzo in the middle-weight World Motorcycle Racing category, where the young Spanish rider completely dominated his adversaries in the 250 cc class with the authority and class of a veteran racer and established himself as one of the most promising new talents to watch in the years to come.
In D-Challenge competition, our compliments all go to Pigol, who won the complete Valentino Rossi replica racing outfit with a big lead over his closest and distinguished followers Andre1079 and Maidelcombo.
