PRINCE CHARMING

25 September 2005 | News

The Valentino Rossi story goes on. Yesterday in Malaysia, the many-time Champion from Tavullia claimed his 7th World Title with as many as four races yet to go and scored his 113th winners' stand placing in 153 races run.
The Doctor's extra gear is something extraordinary to see, and in order to celebrate this latest demonstration of his class on Sunday, he rode up to the edge of the track in the saddle of not just one but approximately 250 horses (horse-power, that is) (!!!) and posed amidst photographers' flashbulbs popping like fireworks as a modern-day Prince Charming surrounded by his seven dwarves (one for each world title won) and a beautiful Snow-white.
Even his way of celebrating is incomparable; Valentino showed that he and his close friends really know how to have a good time both at work on the track and in yesterday's fairy-tale kindergarten setting.
Despite falling out of the race on the first lap, Daniel Pedrosa maintains a healthy lead over his nearest opponent In 250 cc competition and can face the final four races with relative serenity.
In the 125 Class, Thomas Lüthi was the hero of a truly fantastic race, and his crushing victory after last week's disastrous spill in Motegi, Japan, appears all the more incredible as a result.
The young Swiss racer still at the top of his division will surely have more surprises in store before the season's final race is run.
We're looking forward to the following final ending to the fable "…and they all lived happily ever after".
