Valentino convinces with four wheels as well.
The World's Motorcycle GP Champ claimed third place in the Monza Rally Show yesterday at the city's famous track. The race was won by the Capello-Pirollo team in a Skoda ahead of Travaglia-Granai in their Peugeot followed by Valentino (driving for Toyota with Carlo Cassina at his side), who came out in front of favourites Cantamessa and Ciceri.
The Monza show - in many ways, a Valentino Rossi show - came to a close at 17.01 under the lights of a stadium packed to the house typical of big-time events in Monza: thirty-thousand spectators, five rows of fans seeking autographs, and strictly limited access to the 6-time World Championship winner.
The by-now usual photo of Valentino on the winners' stand assumed special significance here in Monza: this time, Vale was at the command of a Step2 Toyota Corolla WRC but the response of the public was same, with everybody giving it up for the living motorcycle racing legend.

Drawing conclusions at the end of another weekend's tight curves, Valentino recorded a double satisfaction by clearly winning the family derby and soundly beating his dad, Graziano, who turned in at 17th place nearly 5 minutes behind his son.
The calendar's next appointment is the Bologna Motor Show, where Val will challenge Rally World Champs like Marcus Gronholm and Colin McRae in another "Masters Show", as always the most popular and spectacular….together with Dainese.
