Dainese has come up with a truly outstanding version of the racing suit for Max Biaggi to wear in the prestigious Italian heat of the World Superbike Championship.
The suit’s graphics depict the muscle tissue of the rider’s body to reveal the “human machine” throbbing away beneath the protective armour that Max “The Gladiator” has been wearing ever since he first began two-wheel racing.

Much more than meets the eye lies behind what might at first appear to be a mere exercise in style: the idea for this new suit came from Max himself, who stopped by the D-Tec® (Dainese Technology Center) laboratory himself the other day to watch the technicians at work on various projects dedicated to increasing professional and amateur motorcycle rider safety levels.
Designing protection around people today means studying anthropometry, biomechanics and ergonomics. Thus it was no surprise when Max peeked over a draftsman’s shoulder, saw an illustration of human muscle anatomy, and announced that he wanted to see the same degree of detail on the suit he’d be wearing in Monza.

These graphics have come to symbolise the effort Dainese has been making in the field of safety since 1972, which now after 35 years still brings enormous satisfaction to both the greatest racing champions and the most ordinary motorcycle riders the world over.
