JORGE LORENZO ON TOP OF THE WORLD!
11 October 2010 | News
The Moto GP 2010 World Championship came to a mathematical end yesterday, October 10, as Jorge Lorenzo claimed his first title in the heavyweight class.
Jorge Lorenzo managed the race adroitly with the judgment of someone who knew he was just minutes away from the dream of a lifetime.
After winning the 250 Class World Championship twice, he came of age in 2010 by winning seven races out of twelve with five pole positions. All this at the tender age of 23, but already old enough to lead the rest.
As fast and as prudent as necessary, Jorge is the second Spanish racer to win the Division after Alex Crivillé.
He’s still got another two years with the Official Yamaha team, but in the meantime he’ll be savoring this victory and that sensation of lightness of someone who knows he’s gotten what he wanted 2 races earlier than planned.
Game over. At least for this season.
