In just a few months, Doctor Rossi has succeeded in coming up with the right cure to take his M1 to the highest step on the winners' stand.
The Doctor's cure is nothing short of a miracle: thanks to his technicians and his own precious indications, the engine in Rossi's bike is now throbbing steady and strong.
Even if the extended straightaways on the Catalonia circuit do his Yamaha no favours, the champ from Pesaro proved capable of keeping the race's Honda favourites at bay with sudden skids worthy of the greatest rally specialist and roaring accelerations that left the rest behind and drove the lad from Tavullia to his second consecutive victory.
The duel between De Puniet and Pedrosa in the 250 cc Class catalysed the attention of the fans treated to the pleasures of a truly combative race finally won by the Frenchman in front of Pedrosa who just wouldn't quit.
Pablo Nieto got off to a bad start but finished third in the 125 cc Class race after a breathtaking comeback that even had him leading the pack for a while.
