Dainese and AGV racers at Barber

Dainese and AGV sponsored racers experienced the new 2009 Suzuki GSX-R 1000 in Barber, round 4 of AMA 2009 Superbike Championship under challenging weather conditions.

Rockstar Makita Suzuki #79 Blake Young after a brilliant second position in Saturday's AMA Superbike and an impressive first place at Sunday morning Warm-Up, stopped his crescendo with an unfortunate incident that injured his left hand.
National Guard #54 Geoff May consolidated his third position in the Superbike Championship with a 7th place in Race 1, Saturday and a 5th place in Race 2, Sunday. Jordan Suzuki #23 Aaron Yates, after the 10th place on Saturday, got his first podium this year with a 2th place.

Roadracingworld.com Suzuki Team shown us #18 Chris Ulrich getting closer to the top 10 with a 14th place on Saturday and 11th on Sunday. Russell Wikle, after an astonishing Pole Position in Supersport, finished in 2nd position confirming the great potential of this 17 years old racer. In Sportbike he started in 22nd position and he was able to reach the top 10 finishing 9th after a challenging race. Santiago Villa, after finishing #24 on Race 1 in Sportbike, managed to finish the race despite a crash that injured his wrist.

Team Paradigm #29 Barrett Long in Sportbike finished 16th in Race 1, while a crush on Race 2 prevented him to finished the race. In Superbike, Barrett gained a 15th place on Saturday and a 20th position on Sunday.
Team Bazzaz #15 Steve Rapp in Sportbike is getting more familiar with his new bike. After finishing 14th on Saturday, he improved on Sunday with a 6th position that put him in 8th position on the Sportbike Championship standing.
