Moral victory for Rossi. Nieto and Poggiali dominate the 250 Class. Pedrosa misses the winner's platform by a hair but stays at the top of the standings just the same.
Cruel destiny denies Rossi victory and Pedrosa a placing on the winner's stand together with Dainese pilots Poggiali and Nieto in the 250 Class. Biaggi a winner in the 500 Class. Rossi drops to third place in the GP standings.
Bad luck claimed two victims in Donington: after winning the race hands down, the champ from Tavullia was penalised to 3rd place for failing to notice a yellow flag, while Dani Pedrosa fell after contact with Perugini as he battled for the runner-up position.
All in all, results were positive for Dainese with Biaggi winning the Motorcycle GP and two Dainese pilots snagging the top slots in the 250 Class.
