DAINESE SUCCESS ON THE SNOW
08 January 2008 | News
Maria Riesch steps up to the winners’ stand after the Slalom race. This woman skier who wears Dainese helmet, goggles and protection claimed the 3rd step on the winner’s stand in the January 6 World Ski Cup Slalom race In Spindleruv Mlyn in the Czech Republic to reach 2nd place in the current World Ski Cup standings. This is surely a fantastic start to the season for an athlete making a great comeback after a serious injury. We’re also proud of the fourth straight win by Denise Karbon in the Giant Slalom race the day before (Denise has also always worn Dainese protection) and Chiara Costazza’s victory in the December 29 Slalom race in Lienz (Austria).
Last but not least, Manfred Moelgg confirmed his status as one of the leaders of the pack by finishing 4th and 5th, respectively, at the Men’s Giant Slalom and Slalom races run in Adelboden, Switzerland, on January 5 and 6.
Giorgio Rocca also appears to be making a comeback, and finished among the world’s top ten.
