HOW SWEET IT IS!

05 June 2006 | News

Let's not be modest: it was a blast! It was one of the most exciting World Motorcycle Championship races we've witnessed in years. If last season's Italian Grand Pric race offered a battle between Valentino Rossi and Max Biaggi, this year The Doctor had to face up to a fantastic Loris Capirossi ready and willing to treat the 90,000 fans present to a breath-taking final finish.
The names might change but the winner is the same, and the Champ from Tavullia succeeded in keeping his winning streak in Tuscany alive, where he has remained unbeaten since 2002. Val's distance from the top now shrinks from –43 to –34 and that's still a chilly temperature for anyone, but the season's final race in Valencia is still a long way off.
The Big Sunday for the Dainese Team racers did not end here, thanks to the splendid performance of one Jorge Lorenzo, who came up with his third win of the season after the last few races that did the Spanish racer little justice.

Big success as well in D-Challenge competition with an unprecedented number of winners. Way to go, kids, but there's still a long way to go, before you win that final prize.
