Dainese rider Shane ‘Shakey’ Byrne clinched his first British Superbike title with a superb victory in the Cadwell Park race.
In front of another massive crowd the 26 year old fended off a concerted challenge from Suzuki’s John Reynolds to become the first British rider in recent history to clinch the title with two rounds to spare.
It has been an amazing season for Byrne who was the first rider in the history winning two Superbike rounds in Brands Hatch starting as wildcard.
He leaded the British Superbike ranking from the beginning to the end, outdistancing all his opponents of more then 100 pts and two race missing.
Now for Dainese rider Shakey the challenge is WSB theatre…..for an 2004 rich of victories.
