ROCCA on the winner's stand again!

05 March 2003 | News

Everyone was expecting the dramatic result, and now that Giorgio has gotten into gear he's going to be very hard to stop indeed!
Following his Bronze Medal win at the St. Moritz World Ski Championship, Giorgio Rocca continues the unbroken string of successful races he began in Wengen: on the distant slopes of South Korea yesterday he came in with his third straight placing!
The most important thing about yesterday's performance however is the big boost to Giorgio's self-confidence provided by knowing that he is now finally classed among the world's best slalom skiers.
Although only 2 more races unfortunately remain in this year's World Slalom competition and Ivica Kostelic and Kalle Palander are the only two real contenders for the coveted Crystal Cup, the reassured Giorgio's hopes are currently sky-high and he's already training for next season when he promises to make repeated trips to the winner's stand with ever-increasing frequency.
