A Crans Montana, in Svizzera, il week-end appena trascorso regala agli appassionati del grande sci due gare di super gigante e una di slalom gigante maschile. Il canadese Jan Hudec conferma l’ottimo stato di forma e sale sul secondo gradino del podio nel super gigante di venerdì 24 febbraio. Ottima gara anche il giorno seguente, dove chiude al quinto posto, sempre in super gigante. Per il norvegese Aksel Lund Svindal e il canadese Erik Guay, due gare fotocopia. Il primo conclude entrambe i super giganti in nona posizione, mentre il secondo ottiene due tredicesimi posti. Nella gara di sabato 25 febbraio, segnali di ripresa da parte dell’azzurro Werner Heel che giunge al traguardo diciottesimo. Mancano le soddisfazioni per gli atleti Dainese nella gara di slalom gigante di domenica 26 febbraio. Aksel Lund Svindal è protagonista di una brutta caduta, fortunatamente senza conseguenze. Solo Manfred Moelgg giunge al traguardo ed occupa la ventitreesima posizione.

In Bulgaria gareggiano le donne e si svolge una sola gara, domenica 26 febbraio. In super gigante Maria Hoelf-Riesch è sesta, mentre l’azzurra Johanna Schnarf conclude la gara in quattordicesima posizione.

Last weekend Crans Montana, in Switzerland offered ski fans two Super Gs and one giant slalom race in the men’s section. The Canadian Jan Hudec confirmed his excellent physical condition, coming second in the Super G on Friday 24 February and getting an excellent fifth place the next day, again in Super G. The Norwegian Aksel Lund Svindal and the Canadian Erik Guay, had two photocopy runs with the first coming ninth in both Super G’s and the second getting two thirteenth places. On Saturday 25 February, the Italian Werner Heel showed signs of recovery coming in eighteenth at the finishing line. The giant slalom on Sunday 26 February however was not generous with results for Dainese athletes with Aksel Lund Svindal suffering a nasty fall, luckily without consequences. Only Manfred Moelgg reached the finishing line, in twenty-third place.

The women raced in Bulgaria where there was only one competition on Sunday 26 February. Maria Hoelf-Riesch came sixth in the Super G, while the Italian Johanna Schnarf ended the race fourteenth.
