THERE YOU GO: VICTORY IS SERVED!
29 August 2005 | News
Although no one can say if Valentino Rossi, Daniel Pedrosa and Thomas Lüthi encountered any traffic jams as they returned from their well-deserved summer vacations, they sure didn't see much traffic Sunday, August 28, on the track in Brno in the Czech Republic, where they all put on spectacular shows and won in their classes to gain more precious points on their ways to their titles.
And once again, the MotoGP leaders were not the only Dainese Team racers in fine form. Max Biaggi came back from behind to finish third on the heels of the invariably fantastic Valentino Rossi and Loris Capirossi in the 500 cc class. Spaniard Jorge Lorenzo fought for victory with fellow countryman Daniel Pedrosa up to the bitter end before finally falling behind only in the final 4 laps in 250 cc competition.
On the usually fierce 125 cc front, Thomas Lüthi had the luck and talent to win ahead of Marco Simoncelli, who reached the winners' stand for the second straight race, this time with a 3rd place finish.
In D-Challenge play, hats off to Rascal from Westcliff-on-sea, who picked all five top MotoGP finishers. Way to go, you Rascal!
In the final standings, competition is tough indeed, where only a measly 10 points separates the top nine rankers.
