Sepang: Biaggi leads.

13 February 2004 | News

On the second day of the Malaysia time-trials, Max Biaggi was the fastest man on the track, coming in first ahead of Hondas ridden by Edwards, Gibernau and Hayden in further confirmation of his fine current form. The Roman racer stopped the clock with the best time on both the first and second days of tests in Sepang. For the moment at least, Valentino Rossi has to accept following the Hondas and coming in with the 5th-best time two and a half tenths of a second behind Biaggi. Troy Bayliss was the first Ducati pilot, beating Loris Capirossi by almost two tenths of a second, while Aprilia pilot Shane Byrne continues his apprenticeship in what surely promises to be an exciting season.
