In the season’s tenth MotoGP race, Casey Stoner brought home his third straight victory while our Valentino Rossi grabbed a 2nd place finish for precious points that brought him back to the top of the ranking. Dani Pedrosa left the track with two broken fingers after a nasty spill partially caused by the cloudburst that kept up for the entire race. Dani was forced to relinquish the coveted leadership in the standings and now follows Rossi by 16 points.
The hero in the 250 cc class was Marco Simoncelli, who goes to the top of his division with his third victory in the season. The downpour didn’t appear to bother him one bit as he rode in the lead virtually all by himself.
Dainese celebrated success in the 125 cc class as well when hometown boy Stefan Brandl came in second to the delight of his many friends and fans on hand.
This amounted to nothing less than a perfect weekend for the trio sponsored by Dainese and only raises hopes for the next races to come!
