DAINESE OPTIMIZE THE SAFETY OF AIRSOFT/FLEX SKI HELMETS

19 October 2009 | News

Further to the tests conducted recently by ADAC on ski helmets (published in November on german Motor-welt magazine), Dainese met the criticism by taking immediate action and making the improvements required for the style “Air Soft/Flex” helmet. Even if the tightening buckle already complied with the official homologation standards for ski helmets, Dainese intends to heed the suggestions offered by the ADAC testers in order to immediately bring the model to compliance with the stricter standards in force for bicycle helmets. “Safety is our mission. Ensuring optimum protection and maintaining the trust of our customers are our top priorities” emphasizes Managing Director  Franco Scanagatta.
Customers who have already purchased a “Air Soft/Flex” helmet will be able to have the criticized tightening buckle immediately changed as of Saturday, November 28, 2009, free of charge at their local dealer. All the other ski helmets in the Dainese range already comply with the stricter specifications required for bicycle helmet homologation.
Tests like those conducted by ADAC contribute to ongoing product improvement  and are clearly welcomed by Dainese with enthusiasm, last but not least because safety and protection are the company’s main objectives.
