I am writing this so that fellow riders get the right size and fit. I ride a badass Black Ducati Multistrada 1200S Sport.
Just purchased these direct from DAiNESE here in the U.S. They are excellent quality, great features, super cool styling, very ergonomic and comfortable in the crotch and seat area. The pockets are nice and deep so your key won't fall out and there are metal rivets throughout. It's a dark indigo blue denim and has a metal button-fly which means they will last longer than any zipper. I only buy jeans that have button-fly! I am an old school Levi's button-fly 501 wearer, but moved on from them since they started making them in Mexico years ago. I currently only own and wear Diesel Zathans regular to slim fit boot cut jeans in size 36" x 32". To give you guys an idea of my body type, I wear a U.S. Large T-shirt, but in Diesel and DAiNESE I wear an XL. In DAiNESE jackets I wear a size 52 and in their leather pants I wear a size 52 as well. The fit is spot on with enough room for all-day comfort.
I have not ridden in the DAiNESE D1 Kevlar jeans, but I sat in the riding position on my bike and they are incredibly comfortable. I am 5' 9.5" and weight 160 - 170 lbs depending on the season (currently weigh 165 lbs). They only come in 36" length, but when they are cuffed as pictured they have a 34.5" inseam. I ordered size 36, but found that they ran loose from the knees up to the waist which is perfect for guys with larger thighs. Make no doubt about it, these are American cut jeans with American sizing. I always purchase 36" waist jeans because 34" jeans are too tight around my waist and I don't like tight things around my waist, but that doesn't mean I like baggy jeans either. I am a former high fashion male model and I have a well proportioned body. I consider the cut of these jeans regular to relaxed up in the thigh area, but from the knees down, regular to slim fit. However the looser cut in the crotch and seat area makes it roomier for mounting your bike which is great and comfy.
When I purchased these in size 36, I expected them to be more like an 'Italian' size 36. I am returning the size 36 and going with a size 35 so that they fit a little snugger from the knees up to the waist. And the reason for that is because I was told by DAiNESE to not put these jeans in the dryer because it messes with the kevlar, so they won't shrink like regular denim jeans. I definitely recommend them, but if you have larger thighs stick with your current size, otherwise go down one size. If my only option was to go to a size 34 then I would have kept the size 36, but thankfully DAiNESE doesn't just have even sizes so you can get a more precise fit.
If DAiNESE is reading this, I would adjust their patterning for a more precise fit. I feel they run slightly on the larger size.

The D1 Kevlar jeans are strong and comfortable for on-bike or off-bike use. Like them more than Draggin' Jeans. You can feel the quality and you can ride in same confidence as having leather pants. Just great. One thing though: to assure no flapping in the wind, the pants are quite narrow down the legs, almost carrot style, so riders with larger legs and knees should definitely try them on and try to simulate bike posture in the knees before buying. Also try other denim models if possible because all have different styles for everyone. Dainese rules!
