Un week-end entusiasmante per gli appassionati del grande sci. La Coppa del Mondo fa tappa in due località tra le più belle e prestigiose al mondo per il turismo invernale. A Wengen (Svizzera) gareggiano gli uomini, mentre in Italia, a Cortina d’Ampezzo, di scena le gare femminili.

Venerdì 13 gennaio si corre la supercombinata di Wengen. Aksel Lund Svindal termina la gara con un 19° posto non certo entusiasmante, complice anche l’influenza che lo ha debilitato in questi giorni.

Sabato 14 gennaio si replica a Wengen con la gara di discesa libera. Il canadese Erik Guay è 8°, mentre Svindal si migliora e ottiene la 12^ posizione. L’azzurro Werner Heel termina 21° e precede di poco l’altro atleta Dainese Jan Hudec , 22°.
Quasi in contemporanea, si corre la discesa libera femminile di Cortina d’Ampezzo. Maria Hoefl-Riesch ritrova la forma e il risultato e sale sul terzo gradino del podio. 16^ l’azzurra Johanna Schnarf.

Le gare di domenica riservano altre soddisfazioni agli atleti Dainese. Nello slalom di Wengen, sesto posto per l’azzurro Cristian Deville, seguito a ruota dal compagno di squadra Stefano Gross. In super gigante a Cortina, Maria Hoefl-Riesch si conferma sul podio, questa volta ottima seconda. 21^ Johanna Schnarf.

An exciting weekend for ski fans with the Ski World Cup events held in two of the most prestigious and attractive winter sports venues in the world; Wengen (Switzerland) for the men’s races and Cortina d’Ampezzo in Italy for the women’s races.

On Friday 13 January in Wengen the super-combined saw Aksel Lund Svindal finish the race a rather disappointing 19^th, reflecting his debilitated physical condition caused by flu.

Saturday 14 January, again in Wengen, was the turn of the downhill where the Canadian Erik Guay came 8^th and Svindal improved his performance, coming in 12^th. The Italian Werner Heel finished 21^th, just ahead of the other Dainese athlete Jan Hudec, 22^nd.
Almost simultaneously, in the women’s downhill in Cortina d’Ampezzo Maria Hoefl-Riesch showed an amazing return to her best physical condition and to the podium, achieving a great 3^rd place while the Italian Johanna Schnarf finished 16^th.

Sunday’s races held some other satisfactory results in store for the Dainese athletes. In the slalom at Wengen, the Italian Cristian Deville, finished sixth, with his team mate Stefano Gross right behind him. In the Super G at Cortina, Maria Hoefl-Riesch confirmed her winning form with her excellent second place on the podium, while Johanna Schnarf finished 21^st.
