A Chamonix (Francia) si corrono due discese libere e una supercombinata maschile. Il protagonista tra gli atleti Dainese è Jan Hudec, sesto nella prima discesa di venerdì 3 febbraio e indiscusso vincitore il giorno seguente, sempre in discesa libera. Per l’atleta canadese si tratta del secondo trionfo in Coppa del Mondo, a distanza di quasi 5 anni. Ottimo anche il rendimento del connazionale Erik Guay. Il campione del mondo in carica conclude infatti al quarto e al terzo posto le due gare di discesa libera. Domenica 5 febbraio si corre la supercombinata e Aksel Lund Svindal sfiora il podio, classificandosi quarto.

Garmisch Partenkirchen (Germania), 4-5 febbraio. Di scena una discesa libera e super gigante femminile. Maria Hoefl-Riesch conferma il buon momento di forma e chiude entrambe le prove al quarto posto, subito ai piedi del podio. L’azzurra Johanna Schnarf è sedicesima in discesa libera e ottava in super gigante.

In the two downhill races and a men’s super combined held in Chamonix (France) the star of the show among the Dainese athletes was Jan Hudec, sixth in the first downhill on Friday 3 February and undisputed winner the following day , again in the downhill. This was the Canadian athlete’s second victory in the Ski World Cup after almost 5 years. At the super combined held on Sunday 5th February Aksel Lund Svindal just missed the podium, coming in fourth.

Garmisch Partenkirchen (Germany), 4-5 February was the chosen location for the women’s downhill and super G where Maria Hoefl-Riesch confirmed her excellent physical shape, finishing both races in fourth place, right behind the podium. The Italian, Johanna Schnarf, came sixteenth in the downhill and eighth in the super G.

Lo scorso week-end ha visto impegnate le atlete della Coppa del Mondo a St. Moritz in Svizzera, mentre gli uomini hanno gareggiato a Garmisch Partenkirchen, in Germania.

Maria Hoefl-Riesch torna ai livelli di vertice dello scorso anno e ottiene un secondo posto nella discesa libera di sabato 28 gennaio. La gara di supercombinata del giorno seguente va ancora meglio e arriva la prima vittoria stagionale per l’atleta tedesca che riesce a precedere la rivale sempre, Lindsey Vonn. Si comporta bene anche l’azzurra Johanna Schnarf, tredicesima in discesa libera e ottava in supercombinata.

A Garmisch, causa maltempo, si disputa una sola gara, la discesa libera di sabato 28 gennaio. Il canadese Erik Guay ottiene il primo podio stagionale e si classifica secondo. Bene anche il connazionale Jan Hudec, dodicesimo. Più attardati Aksel Lund Svindal e Werner Heel.

Ispo 2012. Dainese non può mancare all’appuntamento più importante per le aziende del settore sport invernali che ha luogo a Monaco di Baviera (Germania). Lunedì 30 gennaio, gradita visita allo stand da parte di due atleti Dainese, Maria Hoefl-Riesch e l’azzurro Cristian Deville, recente vincitore del prestigioso slalom di Kitzbuehel. Un appuntamento apprezzato dai numerosi visitatori che hanno potuto conoscere di persona i due campioni. Presenti anche numerosi giornalisti della stampa internazionale.

Last weekend saw the World Cup women athletes racing at St.Moritz in Switzerland while the men competed in Garmisch Partenkirchen, in Germany.

Maria Hoefl-Riesch returned to the peak levels of last year, finishing second in the downhill on Saturday 28 January. The super-combined the next day went even better with the German athlete winning her first victory of the season, beating her all time rival, Lindsey Vonn. The Italian Johanna Schnarf also did well, finishing thirteenth in the downhill and eighth in the super combined.

In Garmisch the bad weather only permitted one race to be run, the downhill on Saturday 28 January where the Canadian Erik Guay got his first podium of the season in second place. His countryman Jan Hudec also did well, coming in twelfth with Aksel Lund Svindal and Werner Heel well behind.

ISPO 2012. Dainese couldn’t fail to be present at the most important winter sports trade show in Munich (Germany) and on Monday 30 January the two Dainese athletes, Maria Hoefl-Riesch and the Italian Cristian Deville, recent winner of the prestigious Kitzbuehe slalom , paid a welcome visit to the Dainese stand. An appointment appreciated by the numerous visitors who were able to meet the two champions in person, and attended by a large gathering of international journalists.

La Coppa del Mondo di sci arriva a Kitzbuehel per l’evento più importante dell’anno. Kitzbuehel è anche l’occasione per comunicare ai giornalisti di tutto il mondo lo stato d’avanzamento del progetto D-air^® ski. Testimonial d’eccezione alla conferenza stampa organizzata da Dainese e FIS, Aksel Lund Svindal e Kristian Ghedina.

Sabato 21 gennaio, nonostante le condizioni meteorologiche quasi proibitive, gli uomini corrono sulla leggendaria pista Streif. Una discesa libera avvincente, seguita con passione da oltre 40.000 spettatori lungo il pendio. Dainese registra la decima posizione del canadese Jan Hudec, seguito a ruota dal compagno di squadra Erik Guay. Aksel Svindal chiude al quattordicesimo posto, penalizzato da un grave errore nel tratto finale, quando era in piena lotta per la vittoria.

Domenica 22 gennaio è la volta dello slalom speciale maschile. Nel tempio dello sci arriva il primo successo in carriera per Cristian Deville. Una vittoria emozionante per l’atleta azzurro, frutto di una performance strepitosa. Nella classifica valevole per la combinata, Aksel Svindal si classifica al decimo posto.

In contemporanea, a Kranjska Gora (Slovenia) il circuito femminile è impegnato in gigante e slalom. Sabato 21 gennaio, Maria Hoefl-Riesch ottiene un buon sesto posto , mentre domenica non riesce a portare a termine la gara di slalom.

Aksel Svindal finished fourteenth, after committing a serious error in the final straight just as he was battling for victory.

Sunday 22 January was the turn of the men’s slalom. In the Mecca of the ski world Cristian Deville won the first race of his career, a dramatic victory for the Italian athlete after an amazing performance. Aksel Svindal came in tenth in the ranking valid for the men’s combined.

Simultaneously, in Kranjska Gora (Slovenia), the women’s circuit raced the giant slalom and slalom with Maria Hoefl-Riesch unable to finish the slalom on Sunday after getting a good sixth place in Saturday’s race.
