At the debut of World SuperBike Competition, Max Biaggi returned to fine form by claiming both the first and second positions in the first two heats run in Qatar. The Roman racer was the one to watch on the Losail track and made a triumphant comeback after getting off to an excellent start, falling behind, and then fighting his way hard back up the ranks.
The first race in the World SuperBike season issued a verdict that many fans had already been expecting: the Return of the Champion. Max Biaggi succeeded in immediately adapting to the unfamiliar formula in the two heats, surprising everyone with his panache and motivation and dominating all his opponents, starting from the World Champion in office, Troy Bayliss and then engaging in a breath-taking duel with Toseland.
Max is back, and if early promises hold true, it’s going to be a thrilling season for the Roman Champ and all two-wheel racing fans.
