If you want to share your passion for motorcycles with us and experience the emotion of the Tourist Trophy on the Isle of Man in first person, participate in the online contest and send us some kind of description of your own mythic place in this section. It might be a photo of the curve where you fell and scraped your knee for the first time, a video of the bar where you and your friends get together and talk about your bikes, a free spot in the center of town that only you know about, or maybe that romantic spot on the hills you used to take your lover on your scooter.
The D-Club member who posts the message judged most significant by the team of specialists designated by Dainese will win a VIP package for 2 people and front row seats at the 2008 Tourist Trophy on the Isle of Man.

Why Dainese at the TT? ›

For Dainese and all motorcycle fans, the Isle of Man is a mythic place because it is here where one of the last races on a real road is run: as captivating and exciting as only real passion for motorcycles can be. Risk, triumph, fear, challenge and madness all come together on these 37 miles that wind quickly past houses, stone walls, and lamp posts. Sometimes even in heavy weather indeed!
At the 101st edition of the Isle of Man Tourist Trophy, Dainese will be the Safety Partner and title sponsor of the Superbike TT and Senior TT race. This important decision reinforces our bond with the international tribe of motorcycle riders.
This will be the second leg of an imaginary journey through the shrines of motorcycle racing first begun in July 2007 with the celebration of our 35th birthday and the two Open Days, when over 1300 motorcycle fans visited out West Vicenza Office for a first-hand encounter with the history of sports protection from 1972 until today, a journey that will continue in the following years as well thanks to your suggestions of other mythic motorcycle places around the world.
The same spirit of celebration of our past and future will continue at the 2008 TT: we will be on hand at Villa Marina in the heart of Douglas with an exhibition of the most significant Dainese projects of the past, present, and future, where we will illustrate our concept of head-to-toe protection on one of the most dangerous race tracks in the world with 120 meters of impact barrier in some of the riskiest places on the circuit and 250 circular protections for the sign posts and lamp posts.
