D-air Armor protects Ondra Jezek

Dainese D-air open platform protects Czech rider Ondra Jezek in World Supersport Championship

Thanks to an agreement between the Dainese Group and PSI, which manufactures made-to-measure technical clothing for motorcyclists, Ondra Jezek will race in the World Supersport Championship while protected by Dainese D-air® technology. Beginning with the race in Aragon, Spain, which takes place 1-3 April, Jezek will wear D-air Armor, an “open platform” racing-suit undergarment that features an integrated D-air airbag; the entire protection system—electronics, GPS, battery and gas generator—is housed in the undergarment’s back protector.

First presented last May at the Mugello MotoGP round, D-air Armor represents a genuine milestone in the diffusion of the Dainese D-air system, and now even riders not sponsored by Dainese can benefit from the protection of D-air advanced technology, which is the result of 15 years of research, development and experience.

The collaboration between Dainese and PSI is especially important, as this is the first time that D-air Armor will be worn by a rider in the World Superbike series.

“This agreement with PSI is part of the strategy for the diffusion of Dainese D-air technology,” said Samuele Zanella, Head of Dainese D-air Sales and Marketing. “Our main aim is to protect riders. As other partners have done in the past, PSI has chosen to collaborate on this project, and they believe in the effectiveness of our D-air protection system. We are delighted to introduce Dainese D-air Armor in the World Superbike series and hope that other companies will join us in this important goal of advocating safety—the primary mission of the Dainese Group.”
